The concept of Governance resonated strongly recently, due to its significant impact on improving and sustaining the business of any enterprise. According to the Academy of the Arabic Language, Governance considers as a synonym for (Stewardship). Governance derives from an ancient Greek word (Governance), which means “to steer”. Literally, it expresses the
Ability of the ship master to lead it to safety as a result of his sense and skill in preserving the lives and passengers property.
Governance is a set of systems and controls that regulate relations between stakeholders and achieve a set of principles such as justice, transparency and equality.
By building an integrated governance system, identifying behaviors that serve its interests, and urging leaders to take ethical decisions, governance begins its practices.
Governance practices rely on formal controls such as legislation, regulations and laws, causes governments and organizations to employ this role in order to produce an effective pattern that delivers “good “outcomes and exclude “bad” patterns.
The implementation of the governance system results in efficient performance and the ability to make decisions with high commitment, responsibility and transparency. Its obvious impact is reflected through consistent management and clear and coherent policies, thus its contributes to the further development of the economies of countries and their organizations.
